Heggestad, Janine Verlyn (84) of New Brighton, MN. On the evening of September 28, 2016, while surrounded by her family, our loving mother Janine passed away. Janine was born on May 9, 1932 in Lindstrom, MN. She was the second child to Raymond and Ruth Marie (Johnson) Apmann. Janine married RueBen Heggestad on September 25, 1965. Janine worked as a teacher for over 30 years at Golden Lake Elementary School in Circle Pines, MN. She loved playing bridge, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. Janine was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years RueBen Heggestad; parents Raymond and Ruth Marie Apmann; brother John and Jeanette (Rossman) Apman. Janine is survived by daughter Melanie and David Swensen; son Chad and Amy Heggestad; grandchildren Amber Prairie, Ariel Prairie, Alissa Prairie, John Prairie III, Luke Heggestad, Jake Heggestad; sister DaLois and Robert (deceased) Marsh. Memorial service on Friday, October 7 at 10:30 a.m. with gathering one hour prior at Washburn-McReavy Miller Chapel, 706 4th Ave NW, New Brighton, MN.
