Dudley, Edwin Fuller Ed, "PeeWee", Dudley passed away peacefully at home with family members and caregivers by his side on September 22, 2016 at age 93. Born August 1, 1923 in Buchanan, VA, Ed served during WWII and the Korean War. He became one of the first 16 employees at Medtronic Inc as an Electrical Engineer from which he retired after 32 years. In 1954 he married Lois Harriet Espe. They were married 61 years. Together they raised three daughters, Barbara, Linda and Wanda. He maintained an extensive workshop in the basement of his home ready for any project. He loved fishing, gardening, rock collecting and walks in the woods with his dog. Ed loved the cabin he built and enjoyed hosting his many friends and family members. Edwin was preceded in death by his wife Lois Harriet Dudley. Edwin is survived by daughters, Barbra Lee Mattys (Kevin), Linda Lee Dawson (Ken) and Wanda Lee Burth (Charlie) of the Twin Cities area, grandchildren, Paul Mattys, Lisa Koenig, Alex Mattys, Laura Witt, Brett Mattys, Ross Mattys , seven great grandchildren. Sisters Carolyn Ferguson of Buchanan, VA and Malen Barger of Philadelphia, PA and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his family, Ed received loving care at his home from a team of professionals including, Rebekah, Justina, Ginger, Lynn and his nurse Annie. The family is so thankful. There will be a private service at a later date at his beloved Purgatory Mountain in Buchanan, VA. Memorials can be sent to The Nature Conservancy.
