Esther Louise Bailey

Bailey, Esther Louise Oct. 13, 1919 - Sept. 24, 2016 of Minne- tonka. She was 96 years of age. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harley F. Bailey Sr. in 2012; as well as her 2 brothers, Paul and Gordon Clinton. She is survived by sons, Jerald Bailey of North Agusta, SC, Harley "Franklin" Bailey Jr. of Puyallup, WA and Stephen Bailey of Minnetonka, MN; also grandchildren, Leslie Bailey of San Francisco, CA, Clinton and Jensen Bailey of Minnetonka, MN. Esther was born in Grand Rapids, MI and received a teaching degree in 1941 from Western Michigan University, located in Kalamazoo. She taught elementary school in the states of Michigan, California, Oregon and Minnesota. In Minnesota she started in the fall of 1965 with the Wayzata School District, retiring in 1980 from the Special Education Department. She and husband Harley spent their retirement years living in several homes in western Hennepin County. They were married for 62 joyful years.
