Watson, Bill Bill Watson, age 85, of Plymouth, passed away September 18, 2016. Preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine Watson and survived by their six children: Mark Watson, Cynthia Watson, Jack Watson, Jill (Dwane) Walton, Wayne (Lisa) Watson, Karen Prest; grandchildren: Derek, Jennifer, Madeline, Joseph, Isaac; great-grandchildren: Sabrina, Lily. Brothers: Burke, Darrell, Don (Mary); many nieces & nephews. Born Dec. 5, 1930, Bill was given the nickname "Peewee" due to his small stature when he was young. He earned the Combat Infantry Badge while serving in Korea. A graduate of the University of Minnesota, Bill had a successful career in government. He considered a poem he wrote about his mother his greatest life accomplishment. A trip to Iceland with his mother fostered a love of traveling and he did so extensively. One of his best sayings about two of his favorite pastimes was that God created Golf and Bridge to give us humility. He often said he felt like he had already died and gone to Heaven becuase he had such a long and wonderful life!
