Kehe, Colin R. age 73, of Brooklyn Park, passed away suddenly on September 21, 2016 from a massive heart attack. Colin was born April 2, 1943 in Akron, Ohio to Delma Kehe (Reynolds) and Henry Kehe. Upon graduation from high school, Colin raced from Akron to Boulder, Colorado where he received his M.S. degree from University of Colorado, Boulder. He attended the University of California, Berkley for his graduate degree. He was an avid bridge player attaining the rank of Life Master. One of his joys was when he won a team event at a regional tournament along with his wife and longtime bridge partner and friend, Evan Sachs. Preceded in death by father, Henry Kehe; birthmother, Delma Kehe; adopted mother, Roberta Kehe; a newborn brother and his father-in-law, Robert James Johnson. Survived by wife of 27 years, Theresa Kehe (Johnson); sister, Marge Currie; beloved mother-in-law, Marie T. Johnson; brothers-in-law, Bruce Johnson and Steve Johnson & spouse Margaret; sister-in-law, Julie Grafft & spouse, Kevin; nieces and nephews, Karla Johnson, Kyle Johnson, Ivan Grafft, Ben Grafft, Ethan Johnson and Elise Johnson; cousins, David Kehe, William Kehe and numerous others throughout the United States; special cousin-in-law, Vickie Mirenda & spouse Michael; beloved cats, Edgar and Yoshi; and the Twin Cities bridge community. Memorial service 2 PM Saturday at Lakewood Cemetery Chapel, 3600 Hennepin Ave. S., Minneapolis with visitation beginning at 1:30. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Doctors Without Borders.
