Kurnow, Jeanette (Straus) age 96, of Minneapolis, passed away Sept. 22, 2016. Preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Max Kurnow; parents, Israel & Nellie (Arentzoff) Straus; and her brothers, Stanley and Gordon Straus. Survived by sons, Charles (Carol) Kurnow and Bruce (Karole) Kurnow; grandchildren, Alexander Kurnow, Timothy (Stephanie) Herzog and Lee (Sarah Aufderhar) Herzog; great-grandsons, Caleb, Logan and Max Herzog; brother-in-law, Myer "Mike" Kurnow; sisters-in-law, Zelda Straus and Renee Kurnow; several nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Jeanette worked as a bookkeeper and later devoted herself to raising a family. She was a kind, humorous and gracious woman who made everyone feel special. Graveside services SUNDAY 1:00 PM at TEMPLE OF AARON CEMETERY, 1690 Dale St. N., Roseville. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Sholom Home East (Memory Care Unit or Johnson Hospice), the Temple of Aaron Synagogue or the donor's favorite charity.
