Casper, Elizabeth Suplicki age 69, of Madison, WI, passed away on Wednesday, July 27 at Agrace Hospice after a short, brave fight against advanced metastatic pancreatic cancer. Elizabeth (Betsy) was born the summer of 1947 in New Jersey to Margaret and Joseph Suplicki. She is survived by husband Dr. Lawrence (Larry) Casper and children Erin and Jeremy of Minneapolis, and Meghan of Louisville, KY; and her five grandchildren, all who live in the Twin Cities ranging in age from 13 to 3. Betsy spent over ten years living in Minneapolis while Larry worked for Honeywell. During this time she worked for H&R Block and established a large clientele of businesses and families that used her tax expertise. Betsy and Larry moved to Madison, WI in 1991 where Betsy further pursued her career in tax advising, achieving special recognition from the U.S. Treasury Department for tax expertise as an Enrolled Agent. As one colleague described her, she was "an awesome resource and tax expert", always focused on her customers, many of whom were her clients for decades and became family friends. Betsy's friends and colleagues especially appreciated her sense of humor and helpful attitude. An informal celebration of Betsy's life will be held Sunday, October 2 at Plymouth Presbyterian Church, Hwy 55, Plymouth at 2 PM. Friends of Betsy are invited to bring stories and a small dessert to share.
