Kocon (Marinan), Patricia Anne 86, passed away peacefully at home in Liberty, MO on September 14, 2016, with family at her side. She was born May 7, 1930 in Neenah, Wisconsin, the daughter of John J. and Lauretta (Markow) Marinan. Along with her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Frank Kocon; and brothers, Al Hess and John Marinan, Jr. Pat was a gifted seamstress and a loving mother and foster mother to nearly 100 babies. She was a longtime active parishioner of St. Francis Xavier parish in Superior, WI, and a member of St. James parish in Liberty, MO for the past eight years. Pat enjoyed league bowling and was an energetic member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She and Frank delighted in more than four decades of good times at their cabin in Deer River, MN. They also enjoyed visiting and traveling with Pat's sister, Mary. Survivors include her children, Mike Kocon (Deedra), Kathy Soar (Brian), Patti Carlson (Dan) and Julie Struble (Cal); sister, Mary Mertes, ten grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Visitation will be 10-11 am, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am, on Monday, October 10, at St. James Catholic Church, Liberty.
