Walter Wesley 'Wes' Bauer

Bauer, Walter Wesley "Wes" age 93, died in his beloved woods on Lake Mary near Alexandria, Minnesota on Wednesday, August 31, 2016. Preceded in death by wife Louise, parents George and Edna, brother George, grandson Brian. Survived by brother Arnold "Arnie" and sister Glenyce (Gene) Sellards, son Mark (Jana), daughters Ann (Bob) Gergen, Ellen (Rick) Moeller, five grandchildren, one great-grand-child. Born in St. Paul, Minnesota, raised on the east side of St. Paul. Graduated from Johnson High School, Macalester College and University of Minnesota. Long time teacher, hockey and golf coach at North St. Paul High School. World War II US Navy veteran. Memorial service followed by reception Sunday October 9, 2016 at noon, Keller Clubhouse, 2166 Maplewood Drive, Maplewood, MN 55109. Interment Fort Snelling. Memorials preferred to The Nature Conservancy, Ducks Unlimited.
