Dudek, Thaddeus J. "Ted" Born October 29, 1919, died August 28, 2016. Ted was preceded in death by wife Valerie; brothers Stanley and Johnny; sister Eleanor; niece Valetta; and great grandson Jack Mumm. Survived by daughters Joan, Diane (Tim) Kress; son Richard (Marge); grandchildren David (Kelly), Ann Marie (Adam), Stephen (Amanda), and Sheila Smith; great grandchildren Aaron, Marley, Jessie and Cameron; great great grandchildren Micah and Annabelle; special friends Jim McGovern and Richard Shupien. Ted was born in Pittsburgh, PA and grew up in Philadelphia, PA with his foster mother Pauline Gryn and her 5 daughters. He moved to Mpls. in 1941 to marry Valerie whom he met when she was visiting out east for the 1939 World's Fair. Led by his strong faith, Ted lived an inspiring life of service as a diligent worker, devoted husband, father and loyal friend to many who were fortunate to know him. He was active in his parish church (All Saints) continuing his kindness to everyone at Catholic Eldercare, first as a volunteer and then as resident. Ted lived with a special appreciation for nature and sincere gratitude for the blessings he received. The family would like to express a special thank you to Catholic Eldercare staff. Memorials preferred to Catholic Eldercare. Mass of Christian Burial Friday, 11:30 AM, St. Anthony of Padua Chapel-Catholic Eldercare, 817 Main St. N.E., Mpls.
