Alfs, James Gerd Age 87. Originally of Aitkin, MN. James was preceded in death by wife, Diane, & sons, Gary & Daniel. He is survived by son Matthew, grandchildren, Justin & Stephanie, and 4 great-grandchildren. James was a loving husband, father & grandfather. He was a graduate of Aitkin High School & the University of Minnesota, served in the Korean War. He worked for Western Electric and Control Data. After retirement, he wrote a unique series of cookbook-novellas.
