Luehrs, Virginia R. (Lundeen) 92, of Eden Prairie, died Tues., July 26, 2016 at the Annandale Care Center. Virginia Ruth Luehrs was born July 9, 1924 in Annandale to Carl and Ruth (Isaacson) Lundeen. She graduated from Annandale High School in 1942 and continued her education in the Nurses Training Program at Abbott Hospital in Minneapolis. She later earned her Public Health Certificate at the University of Minnesota. Over the years Virginia worked as a nurse in the industrial field, as a Public Health Nurse, as a School Nurse and a Camp Nurse. On September 15, 1956, Virginia married Armin Luehrs. Virginia was a true homemaker in raising their three children. She also was a huge support to her husband's YMCA career. Virginia enjoyed spending time at the cabin, fishing and shopping for bargains. She is survived by her husband, Armin; children Eric (special friend Sharon Liners) of Crystal, Mark (Susan) of Plano, TX and Renee (Ted) Henson of Annandale; four grandchildren Tanner, Mackenzie, Alexa and Kaci; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Carroll and Kermit Lundeen; and sisters Grace Peerman and Joyce Thommen. Services 11 a.m. Mon., Aug. 8, at Wooddale Church, Edina Campus, with visitation one hour prior.
