Glein (Balling), Marilyn Jean Age 79 died of hemorr -hagic stroke after a long struggle with chronic heart failure on Monday, July 25, 2016 in Minneapolis, MN. She was born on August 4, 1936 in Mountain Lake, MN to Joseph Leo and Elizabeth Irene (Silliman) Balling. Marilyn graduated from Heron Lake High School, received a Bachelor's Degree at Mankato State University and did graduate work at St. Cloud State University. In 1961 she married Elvin Glein. Together they moved to Alexandria, MN where they raised their daughter Joanne. Marilyn worked as a reference librarian at the Alexandria Public Library. Marilyn and Elvin retired to St. Anthony, MN. Marilyn will be greatly missed by Elvin Glein, her husband of 55 years; her daughter Joanne Dehnbostel and her 3 grandchildren Michael, Sarah and Matthew Dehnbostel. Memorial donations may be made in Marilyn's name to Catholic Charities or Sharing and Caring Hands (designated for childrens' needs). Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 AM Thursday, 8/4 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Stinson Blvd. & St. Anthony Blvd. N.E., St. Anthony. Interment Sacred Heart Cemetery, Heron Lake, MN.
