Ness, Paul Martin was born to Inga and Jacob, Norwegian immigrants, Oct. 16, 1917. His brothers Edgar and Lloyd were his best friends throughout their lives. He had two sisters, June Dale who survives him and Ruth Kilby. Dad was the last shorthand court reporter in Hennepin County. He served in the Navy during WWII. He was an avid golfer, his last round at the age of 97, and fisherman, his last fish a 42 inch muskie at age 95. The ultimate family man, his 65 year marriage to his beloved Florence was a model for our whole family. He loved being surrounded by his kids Diane Andersen (Don), Sue Foster (Phil), and Dave, his 6 grandkids and spouses, 16 greats, and nieces and nephews who remained close. He was the heart of our family. He was so beloved by his kids, grands and greats. We will all miss his humor and kind supportive spirit and love. He went home on July 25 2016 after a fight with stroke dementia. Private Service. Burial at Fort Snelling. Memorials preferred to Hammer Resources for Developmental Disabilities.
