Elsie M. Sellers

Sellers, Elsie M. Age 82, of S. Mpls, went to be with the Lord on July 24, 2016. Preceded in death by her parents and husband, Willie J. Sellers. Elsie, a renowned Twin Cities gospel singer, writer and orator was a charter member of Sabathani and Greater Friendship Baptist Churches. In March, 2000, she was awarded for many her years of service as the President of the MN State Baptist Women's Auxiliary by Mayor Sharon Sayles Belton. Survived by children, Darryl (Rebecca), Sheralyn and Beretta; 7 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; siblings, Charles Carr and Alice Faye Walker; other relatives & friends. Funeral service will be held Saturday, July 30, 12 PM at Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 2600 E 38th St., Mpls. with a visitation one hour prior.
