Houck, Donald E. age 87, of the Excelsior area passed away from aggressive cancer on 7/24/16. Preceded in death by his wife Ardis of 51 years and brothers David and Kenneth Houck. Survived by wife Muriel Mullin and her family; Don's children Diana Throgmorton (Barry), Carol Davis, Katie Gronberg (Mark), Sandy Houck Beliveau (Bob), and Steve Houck; grandchildren Jason, Aaron, Brian, James, Erik, Will, Chad, Hannah; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Ginny and Claudia Houck and many nieces and nephews. Don and Ardis lovingly raised their family in the Lake Minnetonka area, providing a home filled with the love that God brings. Hunting, fishing, camping, sailing, family gatherings, travelall were enjoyed by Don. In his words "I've lived a good life!". His marriage to Muriel was a blessing for him in his later years. The two of them shared a love for each other's families, and again they have had a home filled with love. Visitation Fri, 7/29, 4-7 PM at Huber Funeral Home, 520 Second St., Excelsior, MN. Funeral Sat. 7/30, 10:30 AM at Excelsior United Methodist Church, 881 3rd Ave, Excelsior with visitation 1 hour prior to service. This will be a time to acknowledge Don's peace with God and our joy in sharing our lives with him.
