Archer, Sarah Bridgforth On Thursday, July 21, at 1:11 pm, Sarah Bridgforth Archer, 69, aka, Arch, Sally, Sal, left us. However, knowing Sally, she left for the great mystery with the tempest that blew through earlier that morning. She was an incredible lady and nothing less would do to mark her departure. Over the 40 years she was an ob/gyn doctor she brought thousands of new lives onto this planet with great love and medical expertise. She loved her medicine but it changed. To keep her love fresh, she made her way to Alaska where she rediscovered and practiced the humanity of healing. All who she attended fell in love with her. And that love healed. But most of us knew her as Sally, the vivacious and irreverent beauty with a taste for bourbon that she brought from her native Virginia. She was a grand hostess, worked out with the strongest, and loved true with all her heart. Continuing north to Alaska she developed an intense attachment to the outdoors; fishing for salmon, hunting the black-tailed deer, or just being in the woods or on the water. Looking up from gutting a deer with that classic Archer grin she'd say, "just another c-section." Sally is survived by son, Carl; brothers, Bill and Gordon. Her ashes will be scattered in the great inland waterways of Alaska. A gathering in celebration of her life will happen in late summer.
