Elsie G. Albrecht

Albrecht, Elsie G. age 86, lately of Roseville, formerly a long-time resident of Columbia Heights, died peacefully at home on July 15, 2016. Preceded in death by her husband of 59 yrs, Donald; son Paul; parents Joe and Elsie (Russ) Demko. She will be deeply missed by her family; brother Joe (JoAnne) Demko; children, Christine (Mark) Gilbertson, Joe (Suzanne); daugh- ter-in-law Jill Albrecht; grandchildren, Erin, Michael, Matt, Caitlin, Frank; nephews Steve (Cindy) Demko and especially Joe Demko, Jr. (Susan). Elsie was a great cook who loved knitting and found joy in praying the Rosary. She loved volunteering at her library and going to the YMCA. She loved visiting with her neighbors in Columbia Hts. where she and Don spent 40 years of their life. Many thanks to Vicki and the staff at The Friendship Home Community for their patience, passion and kindness in the final days of Elsie's life. Visitation is 5-7pm TODAY at Washburn-McReavy Funeral Chapel, 4101 Central Ave NE, Col. Hts. Mass of Christian Burial is 10am Tues., July 19 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 4030 Jackson St NE, Col. Hts, with visitation at the church 1 hr prior to Mass.
