Mary Maxine (Binek) Johnson

Johnson, Mary Maxine (Binek) Age 93 of Edina, passed away on May 31, 2016, at Gianna Homes, Minnetonka. She was born May 21, 1923. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bud, her sister Kathleen and her brother Paul. She is survived by her children, Tom (Barb), Bill (Diana), Peg (Bob) Betzold, Barb (Dave) Pichotta, Dave (Renee); and 13 grandchildren, Derek, Alison, Michael, Sarah, Anne, David, Mary (David), Katie, Matt, Jake, Madeline, Grace and Lily. Maxine attended Annunciation grade school, graduated from Holy Angels high school in 1941 and received a BA in business administration from the University of Minnesota in 1947. She raised her five children in between careers at General Mills and then later at Control Data. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, June 23, 10:30 AM, at St. Peters Catholic Church, 6730 Nicollet Ave S, Richfield, MN. Visitation will be at the church 1 hour before Mass. Burial at Fort Snelling National Cemetery will follow at 2:15 PM. Memorials preferred to Gianna Homes.
