Chottepanda, Molly Malone Recently, we were shown a tragic reminder of the preciousness of life. On May 29th, loving wife, and new mother, Molly Malone Chottepanda, 32, passed away suddenly. Molly is survived by her husband Kushal and her beautiful 17 day old baby Mara Elizabeth. She will be missed by all who had the joy of being touched by her warm spirit and generous heart. Committed to the well-being of others, Molly was a devoted physicians assistant. Her passion for helping others was just one part of what made her an amazing woman, she was also a caring daughter, loyal wife, loving new mother, thoughtful friend, and -- for those who ever faced her on the softball diamond or basketball court -- a feared competitor. Molly was born and raised in Southwest Minneapolis, a community she cared for passionately. She was a third generation graduate of Southwest High School, which she attended with Kushal. After high school she went on to receive a BA from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN. In 2009 she earned a Masters in Science in the Physician Assistant Studies Program from Augsburg College. She has since worked at North Memorial. Molly was preceded in death by her grandparents Robert and Elizabeth Malone, grandmother Mary Wing and uncles Dan and Michael Malone. Additionally Molly leaves behind her parents, Jerry and Nancy Malone; brother, Rob (Audrey) Malone; grandparents, Bob and Phyllis Redmond; aunt, Susan Redmond, father and mother-in-law, Medappa and Meera Chottepanda; sister-in-law, Nisha (Jim) Floyd; nephew and niece Caden and Sonia Floyd, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 4, at 11 AM at the Catholic Church of Christ the King, 5029 Zenith Ave S, Minneapolis. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 3, from 5-8 PM at Gill Brothers Funeral Home, 5801 Lyndale Ave S, Minneapolis, and for one hour prior to services at the church.
