Madvig, Carol Ann (nee Browning) age 75, of Bloomington, died peacefully at home on April 23, 2014, after a short battle with cancer. Carol was born in Minneapolis and grew up in Champlin/ Minneapolis. After marrying James in 1954, they moved to Bloomington and raised their 4 children. Preceded in death by her husband, James; parents, John and Myrtle Browning; brothers, James and Donald and sister Joyce O'Brien. Survived by children, James (Penny) of White Bear Lake, Thomas of Lakeville, Laurie (Joe) Horarik of Farmington and Kathleen (Jeff) Bellin of Bloomington, Eleven grandchildren and Twelve Great grandchildren. For more than forty years, Carol was known to many of her daycare families as Grandma Carol. She loved all the children that entered her home and they quickly became a part of her family. She touched many lives, making sure that each child knew how important they were to her. Funeral Service Saturday, 1 PM at Gill Brothers Funeral Chapel, 9947 Lyndale Ave S. with visitation one hour prior. Interment Dawn Valley Memorial Park. Memorials preferred to Fairview Hospice.
