Survived by children: Patty Gabbert of Howard Lake, Mary (Duane) Melquist of Cokato, Donnie (Shelly) Hansch of Baxter, Susan Johnson of Buffalo and John (Shannon) Schmidt of Ramsey; seventeen grandchildren and twenty great- grandchildren; brother: Jim Starkey of Nisswa and Tom Starkey of Monticello; a sister: Delores Ridley of Spokane, Washington; other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by husbands: Ralph Akins and Roderic "Tony" Schmidt, her parents, a son: David Akins, a daughter: Barbara Etteldorf and sons-in-law: Paul Gabbert, Jay Johnson and Jerry Etteldorf and by great grandsons: Brandon & Dylan Gabbert.
