Novalany, Frances M. Died on April 16, 2014, after a long illness. Born December 6, 1924, she devoted her life to the care and nurture of others. Fran became an RN and served patients through the Public Health Department of Minneapolis for her entire career. Her mother, Rose, was recipient of her loving care for many years. Known as "Auntie Fran" by her numerous nieces and nephews, she doted on them and generously showered them with gifts that supported their many interests. Her own interests included skiing, traveling, and dressmaking, at which she developed notable skill. Her most recent years were spent at Friendship Village Bloomington, where she, in turn, received loving and supportive care from others. She is survived by nieces Barbara Griffith, Anne Rokoski, and Andrea Kaufman and their families. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 22, at Gill Brothers Funeral Home, 5801 Lyndale Ave S.
