Odell, Marilyn G. (nee Swenson) The joy-filled life of Marilyn Odell peacefully ended on April 14, 2014. Born Marilyn Gayle Disrud on December 10, 1927, she was the devoted daughter of Alpha and Samuel Disrud. She was the loyal sister of Sheldon (Marc). She was married to Robert Dale Swenson for 40 years until his death in 1988. They raised five children together. She is survived by her husband, John Odell whom she married in 1991; daughters, Haidi (Jon) Masley and Gayle (Blayne) Merkens; and sons, Brad (Shelly), Woody (Noreen), and Luke (Genene). She supported her children in all life’s circumstances. She treasured her 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at Memorial Lutheran Church, 15730 Afton Blvd. S., Afton, MN on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 11 AM, with visitation at 10 AM. Burial will be at Ft. Snelling.
