Casperson, Dr. Carl C. Age 76, of Bloomington, MN passed away peacefully on March 30, 2014 after a brave battle with cancer. Carl was born in Minneapolis to Carl and Kathryn Casperson and graduated from North High School in I955. In 1959 he received his B.A. from Augsburg College and his D.D.S. from the U of M in 1964, followed by his M.S.D. in Orthodontics. In 1960 he married his college sweetheart and love of his life Kathy Aaker. He is survived by his wife, Kathy; two beloved sons, Steven (Debi) of Mpls and David (Jamye) of Lakeville; four cherished grandchildren, Caitlin, Jacob, Nara and Lucas, two brothers, Paul (Cynthia) of Dallas, TX, Kenneth (Ruth) of Buffalo, MN; a sister, Karen Wilson of Nixa, MO; and his special neices, nephews and family. He practiced orthodontia in Bloomington and Apple Valley for over 35 Years and nearing retirement, he was an Adjunct Professor at the U of M Orthodontic Clinic for five years. He served on the Bloomington School Board from 1983-1992. A founding member of the Bloomington Education Foundation, he served on the board of directors from 1986-2013. For 30 years he served on the Board of Directors for St. Olaf Nursing Home in north Mpls, his childhood church affiliation. A man of faith and love for the Lord, he sang in the Augsburg Centennial Singers, and actively served his church through choir, church council, special committees, prayer breakfasts, and as congregational president. Memorial Service April 11 at 11 AM with visitation 1 hour prior at Christ the King Lutheran Church, Bloomington. Memorials to N.C. Little Hospice, Augsburg College or Christ the King Lutheran Church.
