Pomroy, William B. "Bill" Age 77, of Bloomington passed away December 24th, 2013. He deeply loved his life, his wife, and his family: He was a kind and loyal friend. Bill grew up in Duluth, MN and graduated with a Bachelors of Mechanical Engineering from Marquette University. Bill was proud of his 37+ year's work at Honeywell. He started as a Manufacturing Engineer and ultimately contributed as an Engineering manager over a variety of departments. His volunteering is legendary: Habitat for Humanity, Tax Preparation through a Honeywell outreach program, and one of his all-time favorites Crisis Nursery ("grandpa" will be greatly missed). His contributions to the Srok Scholarship fund help provide an annual scholarship for an ESL Student at Minneapolis Community Technical College. Preceded in death by parents, Christine and William. He is survived by his wife, Georgia; siblings, Kathleen Nardi and Michael (Mary) Pomroy; children, Deborah Pomroy, William (Lois) Pomroy, and Patricia (Steve) Harris; grandchildren, Adam Ramerth, Alex (Cassie) Ramerth, Andrew and Daniel McInnis, Margaret (Chris) Sasse, Michael and Jack Pomroy; great grandchildren Asher and Paisley Ramerth. Bill was a big man with a generous heart. He loved the outdoors, fishing, golfing with family and friends. If you asked him a question there was usually one reply: "Incredible"...just like him. Funeral Service 5 PM Thursday, January 2nd at St. Joan of Arc Church, 4537 3rd Ave. So. Minneapolis, MN 55419, 612.823.8205. Visitation at 4 PM, meal immediately following the service.
