Marlys A. Haala

Haala, Marlys A. 79, of Sleepy Eye, died on May 3, 2016, at Sleepy Eye Care Center. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5 to 7 pm and will continue on Wednesday from 7:30 until 10 am at the Sturm Funeral Home. Service will be held at the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Sleepy Eye, on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at 10:30 am. Interment will be at the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye. Condolences: sturmfh.com. In lieu of flowers, Marlys asked for memorials to St. Mary's or charity of choice. She is survived by son Ron (Jolene) of Inver Grove Heights; four grandchildren, Jessi (Kyle) Larson of Eden Prairie, Cory Haala, Danielle Haala, Ryan Haala; Brothers, Richard (Agnes) Mathiowetz of Fairfax, Lowell Mathiowetz of New Ulm, Pat (Jane) Mathiowetz of Bakersfield, CA, Duane (Carol) Mathiowetz of Mill Valley CA and sisters-in-law Diana Ubel of New Ulm and Judy Mathiowetz of Sleepy Eye and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Luverne, parents Clarence and Loretta, and brothers Ronald and Gerald Mathiowetz.
