Foster, Ruth Elizabeth (Carr) Age 89 of Mpls. Preceded in death by husband Robert; daughter Rose; brother Carroll G. Carr Jr. Survived by children Robert Jr. of Edina; Reneé Foster and Duane Laurila of Shorewood; Risë Foster-Bruder and husband John Bruder of Colorado Springs, CO; grandsons Capt Joshua Bruder and CPT Jacob (Ashli) Bruder; great-granddaughter Kaylee Olive. Ruth was an animal behavioralist and co-founder of CENSHARE, involved in leadership positions with DAR, NADOI and T.C.O.T.C. She was married to Robert for 65 years and a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church. Ruth was the co-inventor of the Gentle Leader which was exhibited at the Smithsonian. As an avid volunteer, she received numerous local and national awards. Funeral service Friday, April 22nd at 10:30 AM at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 5421 France Ave. S., Edina, MN with visitation one hour prior at church. Private interment Fort Snelling.
