Untiedt, Virgina Kay "Ginny" January 30th, 1946 - July 19th, 2011 Virginia "Ginny" Untiedt, 65, of Albertville, MN died unexpectedly and went home to God on Tuesday, July 19th, 2011. Ginny was born on January 30th, 1946 in Willmar, MN, the daughter of Evelyn and Clyde Dawson. She grew up in Willmar, was baptized and confirmed at St. Mary's Catholic Church and graduated from Willmar High School in 1964. On November 26th, 1966, Ginny was united in marriage to the love of her life, Daniel I. Untiedt, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Willmar. Ginny and Dan moved to the Twin Cities where she dedicated her life to her husband and to raising their three daughters. She was an active member of the Church of St. Joseph's for over 40 years, working in a variety of capacities, including the Director of Liturgical Ministry, and serving as a lay preacher. Ginny was devoted to family and she relished spending time together, especially supporting her grandchildren in their activities. She was deeply committed to social justice and truly made the world a better place. She created beauty and built community wherever she was. Ginny's love of God, of the Catholic Church and of family brought her the greatest joy. Since 2001 Ginny and Dan have resided in Albertville. Ginny is survived by her husband and soul mate, Dan, three daughters, Angela (John) Jerabek of Dayton, Stephanie Untiedt of Minneapolis, Beth (Mike) Heimer of Albertville; six grandchildren, Haley and Jonah Jerabek, Daniel Untiedt, Kate, Madeline and Hannah Heimer; four sisters, Lynn (Neil) Adams of Georgetown, TX, Barb Peterson of Pelican Rapids, Joan Sargent of Duluth, and Julie (John) Allen of Marshall; two brothers, Dennis (Barb) Dawson of Spicer, and Brad (Becky) Dawson of Burtrum; three sisters-in-law, Mary (Harry) Stewart of Coon Rapids, Kay (Randy) Evers of Brooklyn Park, and Peggy Untiedt of Coon Rapids; four brothers-in law, Ron Altany (Linda) of Natrona Heights, PA, Clayton Dresher, Lakeville, Jim Sargent, Duluth, Todd Hillstrom, Dawson; family friend, Rick Lewis, 8 nieces, 11 nephews and many great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her mother Evelyn in July, 2011; her father, Clyde in 2005; her three sisters; Marilyn Altany in 2002, Debbie Dawson in 1998 and Mary Hillstrom in 1996; brothers-in-law; Al Davis, Willie Peterson, Tom Untiedt and father and mother-in-law, Rudy and Agnes Untiedt. Mass of Christian Burial 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Parish Center, 8701 36th Ave N., New Hope. Interment will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Plymouth, MN. Memorials are being accepted for the Haiti Mission at St. Joseph the Worker, 7180 Hemlock Lane North, Maple Grove, MN 55369. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. with 7 p.m. prayer service on Friday, July 22nd at Gearty-Delmore Funeral Chapel, 37th Ave. North and Vicksburg Lane in Plymouth, Minnesota and at the church one hour prior to the Mass.
