Douglas Daniel MacDonald

MacDonald, Douglas Daniel age 76 died Thursday, April 7, 2016 after a long struggle with CHF and cancer. Preceded in death by parents, Glenn and Olive (DeWolf) MacDonald; and brother, Robert MacDonald. Survived by wife, Carol; son, Douglas Jr. (Traci) MacDonald; daughters, Beth (John) McCormick, Kristen Lane; granddaughter, Molly McCormick; grandsons, Braden, Tanner, Austin, and Parker Lane; nephew, Derry (Karen) MacDonald; niece, Linda MacDonald; also many cousins and friends. Doug was employed by IBM Corp. for over 32 years and enjoyed the many friends he made and treasured their friendships. Doug loved golf and spent many hours enjoying the green grass and sunshine both at Bracketts Crossing Country Club in Lakeville as well as Punta Gorda Country Club and Port Charlotte Golf Club in Florida. His hobby the last few years was enjoying horse racing at Canterbury Park. He was a good handicapper of the horses with his friends. and had many "woulda, coulda, shoulda" stories. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at 10 AM at Pax Christi Catholic Church, 12100 Pioneer Trail, Eden Prairie (952-941-3150). A visitation will take place for 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Memorials preferred to the family or to donor's choice.
