Arneson, Beverly J. (Odegaard) Jan. 24, 1928- Mar. 7, 2016. After a long struggle with many illnesses, Bev passed away peacefully with family by her side and in the midst of the Lord's Prayer. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends, the U.S. Figure Skating community, and the members of Elizabeth Circle at Calvary Lutheran Church. Bev was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Ida Odegaard, and her sisters LaMoine McLean and Marie Nermyr. She is survived by her brothers Doug and Marvin (Kris) Odegaard, her son Bryan Arneson, daughter Kris (Clint) Cutler and beloved grandsons Andrew and Ben Cutler. Bev attended Mayville State Teacher's college and later St. Cloud State University to earn a degree in elementary education and later certification as a specialist in learning disabilities. She taught at a number of small school districts in Minnesota, North Dakota and Oregon, before she and her husband Lyle settled in the Twin Cities, where she began a long career with Robbinsdale School District #281. Bev was a tireless volunteer. She served as Judge and local volunteer with U. S. Figure Skating for more than 40 years. She was a driver for Dinner at your Door for many years, and she loved to support the community outreach efforts at her Church. Additionally, she enjoyed her volunteer work with Fairview Hospitals, including many years in the hospital gift shops and on the Fairview Hospital Auxiliary Board. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on March 15, 2016 at Calvary Lutheran Church, 7520 Golden Valley Road, Golden Valley, MN.
