Fitzgerald, Michael Anthony "Minnesota Mike" has been there & done that, traveling the world, attending Olympics, World Series, Super Bowls, NASCAR, golf events, concerts & as many Twins games as possible. If you needed a ticket, he was your man. He loved sharing stories about his travels & many adventures with anyone who would listen. Nearly 2 years ago, after being diagnosed with brain cancer, he continued to defy the odds, living life his way, without complaints or grievances. Now at 61, embarking on his greatest journey yet, he wishes to be remembered for his caring heart, sense of humor & GIANT love for life. Preceded in death by Pauline Fitzgerald; Dr. Bob Fitzgerald. Survived by his son Anthony Michael Fitzgerald; daughter Heather Marie Fitzgerald (grandkids Bridgette, Madeline, Wyatt); brother Patrick (Letty) Fitzgerald; sisters Susan (Donnie) Wernli, Kathleen Fitzgerald; nephews, nieces and so many dear friends like Michelle, Willy, Brooks & others from all over the world. The family thanks Dr. Trusheim & staff and Our Lady of Peace for their wonderful hospice care. Celebration of Life: March 1st at 4pm St Richard's (7540 Penn Ave S. Richfield) visitation at 3pm. Reception immediately following Mass & after party will spill over to VFW Post 5555 (6715 Lake Shore Dr S, Richfield). Private Interment at Dawn Valley Memorial Park. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the family via "Michael Fitzgerald Memorial Fund" (U.S. Bank).
