Greenwaldt, Lyle Loren "Scotty" age 90, of Eagle Bend, MN. Services: 1:00 PM, Wednesday, 2/10/2016 at Faith Lutheran Church in Eagle Bend. Visitation: 5-8PM Tuesday at Domian-Anderson Chapel in Bertha and 11:30 AM - service Wednesday at the church. Lyle "Scotty" died Friday, 2/5/2016, at his home. Scotty was a life-long farmer, who served his country during WWII in the Army with the 82nd Airborne, and his community as a Todd County Commissioner for 20 years. He was a founding member and past commander of VFW Post 6318 and helped bring the Great River Regional Library to Eagle Bend. He was a state and regionally recognized fast-pitch softball pitcher in addition to being a skilled at pitching horseshoes and as a bowler. In August, 1948, Scotty married Helen Truax at Hewitt, MN. They farmed in the Hewitt and Bertha areas before purchasing their farm in Eagle Bend in 1957. In 1985, he met his soul-mate Jean (Smith) Morrissey and together they lived and worked on a farm that he had purchased in Bertha Township in 1976. They moved to their home in Eagle Bend in 2000 and were married in April, 2004 at Las Vegas, NV. He is survived by wife Jean; sons Dale (Gwen), Gary, and Randy (Jean); Jean's children Scott (Kim) Morrissey, Brad (Leslie) Morrissey, and Tammy Moller; 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild; 5 brothers and 2 sisters; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
