Adriaens, Floyd H. age 83, of Mora, MN, died on 5/28/09 from bone cancer. He was born 5/6/1926 in Pierz, MN to Henry and Margaret (Seelen) Adriaens. He graduated from St. Joseph School in Morrison County and served in the army during WWII. In 1949 he married Patricia Empey and built their home in Anoka, MN for their nine children. Floyd was a member of the Carpenters Union and superintendent for BOR-SON Construction with "an 8th grade education" as he liked to say. In 1977 he married Joan Palmer Perkins who had 4 children, whom he embraced as his own, as well as their grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his children, Wayne (Mary) Adriaens, Dan (Barb) Adriaens, Barb Dehn, Caron (Mark) Gibson, Tom (Anita) Adriaens, Donna (Brian) Tanner, Jerry (Cindy) Adriaens, David (Sandy) Adriaens, and Bryan Adriaens (Roxanne Pergl); 20 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; and many brothers and sisters. Preceded in death by spouse Joan Adriaens; son-in-law Tom Dehn; and grandchildren Doug and Christy Adriaens. The family would like to give a special thanks to The Villages and The Villa in Mora for the care and friendship they gave our father. Graveside services will be held at noon at St. Joseph's Catholic Church Cemetery in Pierz, MN on Tuesday, June 2. A celebration of his life at Last Chance Bar & Grill in Pierz, MN following.
