Helfinstine, Robert "Bob" Finley 88, died Friday, January 1, 2016 at the Fountains of Hosanna in Lakeville, MN. He was preceded in death by wife Jeannette; brothers, M. Gene and Paul; and parents, Harry and Ethel (Hammond). He is survived by four children, nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, a sister, and a sister-in-law. He was a WWII Navy Veteran. Bob began working as an engineer at the Minneapolis Honeywell Regulator Company in 1950 in its Aeronautical Division. When he retired in 1989 as a Principle System Engineer after 37 years with Honeywell, he had helped develop control systems for 18 different aircraft and obtained two patents. Bob was active in the Twin Cities Creation Science Association, was an avid tree farmer, and was an active member of Oak Grove Church of Golden Valley. A Funeral Service will be held at 11AM, TUESDAY, 1/5/16 with visitation 1 hour prior, at Oak Grove Church, 5920 Golden Valley Rd., Golden Valley, MN. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
