McGough, Thomas Kelly age 53, of Shorewood, MN, passed away December 23 after braving a 20 month journey with Stage 4 Glioblastoma brain tumor. Tom shared his spirit, wit, and the occasional Guinness with those lucky enough to count themselves a friend. Preceded in death by father, David, brother, Paul, and 4-legged friends, Rosie and Red. Survived by wife, Jan Winterhalter and son, Nicholas; mother, Pat Kelly McGough; brothers, Michael and Steve (Brenda); sisters, Mary (David Stacken), Marnie (Craig Kurvers) and Molly (Eric Preud-homme); 18 nieces and nephews. Tom was a graduate of St. John's Preparatory School, St. Cloud State University (BS), and University of South Dakota (MS). He appreciated his alma maters, particularly his time in Melk, Austria while at St. John's and his time in Big Sky, MT, which called him back often. Tom was an IT professional and worked for EDS, Conseco, DataMyte, MLT and SPS Commerce Inc. Tom, a loving and devoted husband, father, son, brother and uncle was a friend to many and will be deeply missed. Memorial Mass will be held Tuesday, December 29, 11:00 am at St. Therese Catholic Church, 18323 Minnetonka Blvd, Deephaven, MN. Visitation one hour prior to service.
