Margaret (Sivertsen) Larson

Larson, Margaret Sivertsen age 82, died November 7, 2015, in Edina, MN, of cancer. Preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Larson, MD, her parents. Dr. Ivar and Maybelle Sivertsen, and sister Anne (Conner). Survived by daughter Anne Stern (Michael Stern), son Eric Larson (Geeta Dash), and 7 grandchildren. Margaret graduated from Northrop Collegiate School and the University of Minnesota. In addition to raising her children and managing the office in her husband's medical practice, she worked for many years as a social worker. She was a long-time supporter of Planned Parenthood and the American Association of University Women. She was a member of Chapel Hills United Church of Christ, and was a beloved mother and grandmother. Services will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2015, at Chapel Hills United Church of Christ, 6512 Vernon Avenue South, Edina 55436, with visitation at 10 AM, memorial service at 11 AM, and a luncheon immediately afterward. A private burial will occur at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Margaret requested that memorials be given to donor's choice, in lieu of flowers.
