Baechler, Sophia Jordan Sophia Jordan Baechler entered this world as a marvelous gift from God on December 15, 2007. She was the first child born to her parents, Benjamin and Courtney Baechler. She has a wonderful 5 year old brother, Will. Sophia was a second grader at Concord Elementary School in Edina, Minnesota. She loved playing with her friends, being with family, playing soccer, drawing, singing and dancing to music. She loved to go to the parks and ride her new "big girl" bike. Sophia loved nature and learning about rocks with her Grandpa. She often went to the zoo with her grandmother and brother. She loved seeing the penguins, monkeys and the butterfly exhibit in the summer. She loved being silly, dancing and snuggling at night. She loved roasting marshmallows by the fire. She loved helping her Dad in the yard and going for bike rides with her Mom. Sophia was love. She had overflowing kindness and care for others. She was always eager to make a new friend and loved the friends she had deeply. Sophia brought out the best in all those around her from young to old. Sophia passed in a tragic carbon monoxide accident on her family boat on Lake Minnetonka on Sunday, October 11, 2015. We take comfort in knowing she is in heaven with Jesus and family who have gone before her. She is survived by her parents, Benjamin and Courtney Baechler, her brother Will, her grandparents Rosemary & Michael Jordan and William & Sally Baechler, and a large number of uncles, aunts, cousins and dear friends. She and her family attend Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Services will be held at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Edina, Minnesota, and are open to the public. Church location is 5071 Eden Avenue, Edina, Minnesota. Visitation: Thursday, October 15, 2015. Time from 4:00 -7:00 pm. Service: Friday, October 16, 2015. Visitation at 10:00 am followed by service at 11:00 am. Burial to follow. A memorial fund for Sophia's favorite YMCA Camp, Camp Kici Yapi, and also Concord Elementary School has been set up.
