Beverly 'Popsy' (Mueller) Mitchell

Mitchell, Beverly "Popsy" (Mueller) Age 87, of Coon Rapids, passed away on November 21st, 2019 after a battle with cancer. Beverly was born on March 15th, 1932 in Hibbing, MN. After graduating from Hibbing High School, she moved to Chicago where she attended nursing school and received her degree. She was a dedicated and selfless advocate for her patients; she always had great empathy for those who were in her care. Beverly met her husband, Robert, while at school in Chicago and the two were married in December, 1954, going on to raise a family of five children. Beverly is preceded in death by her parents, Gus and Ann Mueller, sisters Ruth, Jeannie and Nancy, husband Robert and infant grandson Marcus Petersen. She is survived by her sisters Betty Schindler and Linda Mueller; children Paul (Penny) Mitchell, Mark (Donna) Mitchell, Chris Mitchell, Peter (Tammy) Mitchell and Ann (Dale) Petersen; grandchildren Meghan, Nyssa, Heather, Steve, Nicole, Grant, Jay, Kevin, Alex and Chloe; great-grandchildren Stan, Otto and Hadley; and many nieces, nephews and so many dear friends. Her family wishes to give thanks to the staff at J A Wedum Residential Hospice for all of their love and care in Beverly's final days. A celebration of Beverly's life will be held on December 6th at Faith Lutheran Church, 11115 Hanson Blvd NW, Coon Rapids, MN 55433. Visitation begins at 10:00AM with a service to follow at 11:00AM. Interment will be at a later date.
