James F. Abts

Abts, James F. Age 90, of Minnetonka, passed away October 16, 2019. Survived by his wife of 65 years, Jane; son Tom (wife Sandy); son Rick (wife Cyndi); son Dan. Jim was born and raised in Yankton, SD, graduated from Regis College, and served in the US Navy before moving to Minneapolis with Jane. There they settled, raising 3 boys. Jim proudly sold insurance for New York Life for over 30 years before retiring in 1993. Jim was a talented man who loved music and golf, but especially loved his family. He was fun and charming and made friends everywhere he went, yet his warmth and kindness are what most defined him. Mass of Christian Burial, 11:00am Monday, October 21 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 13505 Excelsior Blvd, Minnetonka, MN. Visitation one hour before.
