Schnieder, Michael Michael Cletus Schnieder "Mike," age 76, passed away at Wealshire of Bloomington, surrounded by caring and loving nurses, on September 12, 2019, in Bloomington, Minnesota. He was born February 24, 1943 to Frances and Augusta (Fehring) Schnieder, in Walnut Grove, Minnesota. On February 23, 1974 he married his former spouse Rebecca Kirchner in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Survivors include his 2 daughters, Kay Stamos (John) of Lakeville, Minnesota, and Kari Delmonico (Trevor) of Clive, Iowa; 2 grandchildren Aviana and Mari Delmonico; former wife Rebecca Schnieder; 2 sisters Jeanette Bitker of Milroy and Mary Miller of Brooklyn Park; brother John Schnieder of Eden Prairie, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mike had a successful career at Control Data/ Seagate for over 30 years. When not working, he was always there to help family and friends with projects or whatever else they needed him for, so much so he received a community service award from Nativity of Mary Church. He also enjoyed tinkering in the garage on cars or whatever else needed to be "fixed" until his illness forced him to move to an assisted living facility. Mike was preceded in death by his parents; Francis and Augusta Schnieder including two sisters and four bothers. A special thank you to Wealshire of Bloomington for their loving care and support. Also thank you Washburn-McReavy Funeral Home for all of the arrangements. A time of gathering and review will be held on Monday, September 16 from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m, with a prayer service from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Edina Chapel at Washburn-McReavy Funeral Home at 5000 West 50th and Highway 100 in Edina, Minnesota. Mike will be laid to rest at Fort Snelling for a Military burial on Tuesday, September 17 at 10:30 a.m.
