Friauf, Elaine E. (nee Karsten) Age 86, of St. Louis Park, passed away September 8, 2019 at Jones-Harrison where she was a resident for close to five years. Preceded in death by parents, Lena & Otto; children, Doug & Diane; brothers, Bob & John. Survived by husband of 64 years, Roger; children, Duane (special friend Beth), Donna (Mike) Bushway, Darla (Jim) Mariette; son-in-law, Jerry Adam; grandchildren, Brian (fiancé Janet) Adam, Brenda (Dan Ristrom) Adam, Kelley (Shawn) Ballanger, Piper Bushway, Sarah Mariette; sister, Shirley Karsten; sisters-in-law, Mildred Friauf, Monie Karsten, Rosalie Karsten; nieces & nephews, Bobby (Tricia) Karsten, Linda Karsten, Ray Karsten, Jeff Karsten, Mark Karsten, Meagan (Trevor) Abel, Kris Karsten; other relatives & friends. Elaine was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be remembered for her kind smile and laugh. Elaine's greatest joy were her grandchildren. She was an excellent secretary and masterful cake decorator. Active member of Westwood Lutheran Church. She enjoyed traveling and documenting family vacations. A special thank you to the staff at Jones-Harrison for the incredible and loving care they provided to Elaine in her last years.
