Ball, Brian G. 62, born Feb. 16, 1957 in Duluth to Bob & Lee Ball, died Sept. 6, 2019 in Idaho Falls. He was listening to rainfall outside his bedroom window, his daughter Sarah holding his hand. He spent the last night of his life surrounded by family sharing stories and songs. Brian loved family, animals and the outdoors; a whip smart math whiz, an avid reader, athletic, and funny - with a booming laugh that filled the room; an Eagle Scout, writer, poet, fierce feminist, and world traveler who loved gardening, camping, fishing - with passions ranging from Mark Twain to David Bowie. Brian was preceded in death by his father Bob - and survived by his wife Laury of Idaho Falls; daughter Sarah (Kris Jackson) of Denver; and his mother Lee of Duluth, and sister Leslie (Ochen Kaylan) of Mpls. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to The National Parks Conservation Association. All are welcome to a memorial service Monday, Sept. 16th at 11:00 @ First United Methodist Duluth.
