Shirley Ann (Krantz) Anderson
Anderson, Shirley Ann Krantz passed away in July from natural causes at age 94. Shirley was born in Minneapolis to Fred & Esther Krantz who precede her in death along with her brothers, Clayton and Gordon. She graduated from North High and the University of Minnesota, earning a varsity letter as one of the pioneers of modern dance. Shirley loved to sing and dance. She was on a line dance team, traveled with Sweet Adelines and was part of her church choir. Shirley played in a bridge group for over 30 years and was a member of the St Croix Yacht Club Auxiliary. Shirley's legion of friends and family will tell you of her ever-present smile and laughter, and love of a good party. In her last years, Shirley moved to California and was blessed to have phone calls, cards, letters and visits from the many who loved her. Shirley is survived by her children, Lynn (Scott), Mark, T. Gordon: granddaughters Maddie and Millie; cousins Doug (Betty) and Arlene; nieces and nephews, Kathy (Dick), Steve (Kathleen), Shawn (Stacia), Robert, Hollie, Ellen, Randy (Diane), Joel (Annette), Claudia (Stan), Gordon (Robin); many great and great-great nieces and nephews; and her very special friend, Virginia. A Celebration of Life will be held at Normandale Lutheran Church on October 5th, 2019 at 10:30am.
