Jolsvay, Roland Andreas age 66, left us suddenly on Friday, August 16, 2019. He is now reunited with his parents, Anneliese and Josef Jolsvay, grandson, Matthew Byrd and late wife, Nancy Jolsvay. He will be deeply missed and remembered by so many, especially by his wife, Teri Perry; children, Erika Glover, Becca (Chris) Fehr, Thomas (Megan) Jolsvay, Tyler Perry and Christian Jolsvay; grandchildren, Carter, Cullan, Sylvia, Greta, Andreas, and Isaac, siblings, Eva (Gary) Brooks and Thomas (Dianne) deJolsvay and many nieces, nephews and friends he called family. Roland was born on November 16, 1952 in Frankfurt, Germany. His love of travel was sparked early on when he moved to Columbus, Ohio, on July 4th, 1956. Over the past 21 years, Roland and Teri shared many amazing travel adventures, both in and out of the U.S. He loved to travel the country in his 1986 VW Westfalia bus. He was an avid reader and collector of many things including books, kayaks, pocketknives, bikes, as well as arcane knowledge. Over the past several years, he took on the role of caretaker, focusing on so many things, but the one most important to him was his family. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Wednesday, August 21st, from 3:30 pm - 6:30 pm at French Regional Park, Skyview Pavilion in Plymouth. A Time of Sharing will take place at 4 pm with food and friendship to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are preferred. Sunset Funeral Home 612-789-3596 SunsetFuneralServices.com
