Jordahl, Stanley Gene Age 88, died peacefully in his sleep Saturday, May 11, 2019 in Faribault, MN. He was born June 22, 1930 in Detroit Lakes, MN to Roy Stanley and Evelyn Bernice (Kaatz) Jordahl. He attended Roosevelt High School and was drafted into the Army where he served as an anti-tank mine field plotter and engineer working on roads and bridges in Korea. He was married from 1951-1962 and had five children. After the Army, he worked in the mobile home industry as a service and parts manager. In retirement, he cared for the resort where he lived on Lake Mille Lacs as maintenance manager and later began spending winters with his youngest son and family in Faribault. Stan worked hard and loved to keep busy. For many years, his favorite companion was a spectacular horse named Moses. As a devoted grandfather, he could regularly be found attending many of his grandchildren's events (often driving to Faribault and back in a day!) and was anxiously awaiting the birth of his first great-grandchild. He is known to have passed on his strong work ethic, love for horses and taste for lutefisk to many of his family and friends. He will truly be missed. He was predeceased by his parents and infant son, Greg Stanley. He is survived by his children: Valerie Jordahl of Bloomington, MN, Stanley (Betsy) Jordahl of Bloomington, Leah (George) Shetka of Mora, MN, Gregory (Amy) Jordahl of Faribault, MN, 3 granddaughters, 2 grandsons, his great-granddaughter, his brother, Ronald Jordahl of Las Vegas, NV and 2 nieces. Interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery with military honors on July 22, 2019 at 10:35 a.m., assembly area #2. (2nd gate off of 34th Ave) Memorials in his name can be sent to the family. boldtfuneralhome.com 507-334-4481
