Anderson, Virgil Grant Age 89, Born in Karlstad, and grew up in Greenbush, Minnesota. Died July 4th of natural causes. Virgil was a Korean war veteran, engineer at Northern States Power (Xcel Energy), past commander of his American Legion Post, avid fisherman, hunter and golfer. Last resided at the Wellstead of Rogers. Preceded in death by parents, Joe and Mamie Anderson; siblings, Glenee, Mavis, Dale, and Kennis. Survived by his loving daughters, Ivy Anderson, and Robbin (Scott) Oare; grandchildren, Tyler Oare (Ryan Von Essen), and Tegan (Jeff) Otto; sister, Adrian; and brother, Cassel. Virgil tried very hard to hold on to see the arrival of his first great-grandchild and his grandsons wedding. The family would like to thank his caregivers & friends at the Wellstead of Rogers, North Memorial Hospital ICU, third floor nursing staff, and the palliative care team. Virgil requested no flowers - Memorials preferred to the American Legion Post No. 0230.
