Cell, Irving Age 92, formerly of St. Louis Park, passed away peacefully on June 30 in Indianapolis, Ind., where he and his wife were welcomed with open arms to live in the home of their daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Mark Sigman. Irv enjoyed a long successful career with Penny's Supermarket before moving with the love of his life, Renee, to Scottsdale, Ariz in 1990. Together, they opened one of the first dollar store concepts, Dollar World of Arizona. Setting an unbelievable example to his children and grandchildren, Irv worked well into his 80's, befriended everyone he met and lived life with optimism; often quoting his favorite saying, "this too shall pass." Irv was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Eva Cell and his brother Milton. In addition to his wife Renee of 69 years, Irv is survived by his 3 daughters; Carol Sigman (Mark), Terri Eisenberg (Bradley), Pamela Litt (Jeffrey); 7 grandchildren; Adam Eisenberg (Kelly Link), Aimee Eisenberg (Jim Toomey), David Sigman (Jayme), Danielle Jurisz (Benjamin), Kimberly Friedman (Matt), Justin Litt (Kendra), & Mackenzie Litt (Tristan Peters); 3 great-grandchildren; Harper Litt, Shoshana Sigman, Jacob Litt; & his brother Raymond. Funeral was held in Indianapolis, Ind. The family will be observing Shiva at Bet Shalom Synagogue in Minnetonka on Sunday, July 7 at 7pm. Memorials preferred to Ronald McDonald House or Minnesota Hillel.
