Myers, Sister Marjorie (Mary Benjamin) SSND 90, died June 9, 2019 at Our Lady of Good Counsel, Mankato. Her Funeral Mass is Friday, June 14 at 10:30 a.m. in the Good Counsel Chapel. A prayer service of remembrance will be held at 9 a.m. Friday, followed by visitation until the time of the funeral. Mankato Mortuary is handling arrangements. Sister Marjorie was born in Lisle, Illinois in 1929. She graduated from St. Margaret's Academy in 1947 and entered the School Sisters of Notre Dame in 1948. She professed first vows in 1951. She taught intermediate, junior and senior high grades until 1980, including St. Mark, Shakopee and SS. Cyril and Methodius, Minneapolis. Beginning in 1980 she held a variety of positions with SSND including liturgist, archivist, researcher, writer and historian. Sister Marjorie is survived by nieces and nephews, and her sisters in community, the School Sisters of Notre Dame. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Agnes (Hoffman) Myers, three brothers and two sisters. mankatomortuary.com
