Robert W Anderson

Anderson, Robert W. Age 92, of Bloomington, passed away April 22, 2019. Robert grew up on his family farm in St. James, MN, served in the US Navy, and was a graduate of Gustavus Adolphus. He married Gladys (nee Osterberg) in 1953. Robert spent his career as a district manager of Chase Metals and as an administrator of Norman-dale Lutheran Church. Preceded in death by his parents, John & Esther; sister, Viola; brothers, Clarence & Norman. Survived by wife, Gladys; children, Robert J. (Ellen) and Karen Willyard; grandchildren, Heather (Erik) Olson, Amber, Robert W.; great-grandchil- dren, Miles & Bodhi Olson; sister, Eunice; nieces & nephews. Known for his strong faith in the Lord, Robert gave all his talents & abilities to serve the church. Remembered for his love of sweets, he always had to have dessert after every meal. Memorial service 2PM with a memorial gathering beginning at 1PM Friday, April 26 at Normandale Lutheran Church, 6100 Normandale Rd, Edina.
